Special Status Species Surveys

Special status species are any species deemed of conservation significance by local, state, and federal agencies and – in some cases – non-governmental organizations. England|Ecology has experience surveying for a wide array of special status plant and wildlife species, the list of which would be too long to include here. England|Ecology also has permits (where required) and experience conducting surveys for the following species listed as threatened or endangered under the Federal Endangered Species Act: California Gnatcatcher, Least Bell’s Vireo, Southwestern Willow Flycatcher, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, and Desert Tortoise. Through partnerships, we can provide biologists permitted to survey for California Red-legged Frog, Tidewater Goby, and Blunt-nosed Leopard Lizard and other wildlife and plant species in northern and southern California.
